NAREB REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT - REGION XV
Born into generations of homeowners, Shanta learned that homeownership was the key to generational wealth at an early age. She took those teachings and purchased her first home at 21 years of age. With over 15 years of experience under her belt, her passion for real estate started while working for a local real estate attorney. She later turned that passion into directly helping first time homebuyers achieve the American dream by becoming a real estate broker/salesperson.
Shanta is the 2019 Regional Vice President for the National Association of Real Estate Broker. Leading this organization allows her to educate the minority community on the steps and benefits to homeownership and focus on empowering her colleagues through cutting edge education. Shanta has been awarded 2019 NAREB Humanitarian of the Year, 2018 YPN 40 under 40, 2017 Most Influential Person, 2017 Realtor of the Month, 2016 NAREB Emerging Leader, and Top 250 Realtors in Las Vegas. She has commendations from Senators and Congressmen alike for her work in the Las Vegas real estate community.
Her passion for community has shown through her 100+ volunteer hours focusing her efforts to combat homelessness, mentor young women, and advocate for childhood hunger prevention. Her recent community efforts through NAREB in 2018 led to providing 19,000+ meals and creating a food panty for a local Title I elementary school with 640 students who are all on free lunch and reside in shelters and temporary housing and donating $6,175 to Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youths. She is a firm believer that people cannot fathom the idea of homeownership if they are worried about feeding their families.
